Rocket Fish Hard Drive Enclosure Kit 2.5″

Just recently, I had to transfer all my files from one computer to a newer one, after the old one died. Instead of throwing away all the memories… aka 5 years of pictures, music, and documents, I went out and bought a Rocket Fish Hard Drive Enclosure Kit to salvage the Hard Drive. This was my first time at trying anything made by RocketFish and at first I will have to say, I wasn’t expecting any great things. But, they did amazing and it got the job done extremely well and extremely effective.

It uses a Y-USB cable and it does take two USB ports…but thats common with external hard drives since it needs to receive power from a source. The kit comes with everything that you will need to make the transfer successful.  The Y-USB cord, small screw driver with extra screws, and a carrying case.

After you are done using the kit, you can keep the saved data on a safe location or wipe it clean by formatting the HDD and using the kit as an external hard drive back up.

Price:
Best Buy offers the Rocket Fish Hard Drive Enclosure Kit for $49.99 but we’ve found them for as little as $4 from Amazon which is WAY to cheap for how handy this can be.

Installation:
Straight out of the box, you will find an installation disk that takes about 5 minutes to instal. It has a very easy to use navigation and installation. Once installed, you are prompted to hook up your rocket fish and your computer will take care of the rest.
