This image went viral overnight, it’s an image of a father and a son on the first shuttle launch on April 12, 1981 and the last shuttle launch on July 8, 2011. I don’t think they were planning on being the Internet’s sensation 30 years after their first shot. But, it happened and it’s actually really cool. You can see how much things have changed, the camera in the 1981 picture has been replaced by a more advanced, and more compact digital camera, while the binoculars, have gotten smaller and probably more powerful too.
